Possible late addition to 2014 class?

Al Golden and his staff are still searching for a player or two to add to the 2014 recruiting class. A new offer was made today to a player who could fill that role. Read on to learn more about him.

Jeremiah Ledbetter has just been offered by Miami, his coach told Scout today.

He started his prep career at Olympia HS in Orlando before moving to Gainesville High in Georgia for his senior season. He redshirted in 2012 at Hutchinson before playing his first year there in 2013.

He will have 3 years to play 2 at the NCAA level.

He finished this past season (10 games) with 59 tackles, seven sacks, one caused fumble, and one interception from his defensive end spot.

He actually committed to Oklahoma State last summer but never enrolled there and went back to Hutchinson instead.

Miami is his second offer but he's never been here before for a visit so it's hard to tell what Miami's chances will be until that happens. They'll push for a spring/summer visit.

Ledbetter is currently in his 4th semester at Hutchinson, which means he could be eligible to graduate in May or over the summer, and possibly enroll somewhere in August as part of the 2014 class.

Either way, Ledbetter is a name to keep an eye on in the coming months, especially since the Canes would like to add another interior DL to the mix in the fall.
