4-star DT lands Miami offer

This 4-star defensive tackle prospect cut his list down to five recently but a new offer Miami has him re-considering. He plans to announce his final choice this summer. Read on to learn more about him and what Miami's chances are.

DT Adam McLean from Orcahrd High in Gaithersburg, MD told Scout that Miami offered him yesterday.

Nike numbers:

22-inch vert

He played FB (14 carries for 122 yards and 2 scores) and D-End (54 tackles, 18 for loss, and 1.5 sacks) as a sophomore at Avalon High before transferring. He moved inside as a junior and finished with 47 tackles, 10 for loss, and seven sacks.

McLean actually cut his list down to five back in January -- Ole Miss, Nebraska, Ohio State, Pittsburgh, and Michigan State. Then schools like Florida State, Virginia Tech, and now Miami have offered so he's opened things back up some. He's being recruited nationally, and like a 4-star prospect. He plans to announce his college choice in August, which means Miami will hope to get him on their campus at some point this spring or summer.

He's quick and very powerful. He does a nice job penetrating into opposing backfields and creating lots of havoc.
