Hamilton is ready to break out

Jelani Hamilton came here as a four-star recruit but he's been unable to see the field much in his first two seasons. He's finally healthy and having a good spring. Read on to see everything he's saying about it.

On practice:
It's been good. Coach Golden has been talking to us about being physical and not letting up and we're doing that.

On the grind of practice:
Hey man, this is what we signed up for. You gotta love this game and you wish there were more practices.

On the physical style of play:
You see Fig, Jamal Carter, Dallas, those guys bring that intensity for us but you cant have them getting hurt either.

On his struggles last season:
I had everything but I wasn't consistent. Coaches tell us to stay consistent every day on and off the field. I worked on hand placement, get offs, and even having more of a nasty mentality.

On his knee injury from high school:
My knee is fine. This is the first time I really felt good and I'm excited about getting the opportunity.

On why the defense will be improved:
We're all coming together, buying in. The coaches can tell us what we need to do but we gotta do it. The D-Line is encouraging each other. We know our mission.
