Canes offer Atlanta OL

The Hurricanes extended an offer today to a 6-foot-6 offensive lineman from the Atlanta area. Read on to learn more about him and what Miami's chances are.

Miami just offered OL Sage Hardin from Marist HS in Atlanta, according to Scout's Brian Dohn.

6-foot-6 and 260 pounds; plays left tackle on a team that went deep into the state playoffs and was considered one of the state's top teams in 2013.

Virginia, NC State, Boston College, and Georgia Tech are some of his other early offers so he's being recruited like a 3-star kid right now.

He grew up following Georgia Tech, and told Scout recently that he's been to nearly every GT home game since he was 8 years old. His father played there for one season before transferring to Virginia for three more.

He's been to Junior Days at UVa and Vanderbilt and plans on seeing Tennessee this weekend. Miami will have to get him on their campus to have much of a chance, especially when competing against schools like GT and UVA which have strong family ties.
