Canes offer 6-5 Virginia WR

This 6-foot-5 wide receiver was just offered by the Hurricanes. Read on to learn more about him and what Miami's chances are early on.

Drake Davis from Fork Union (Va) via Baton Rouge, La. told Scout that Miami offered this past week. He's a 2016 grad.

6-foot-5 and 210 pounds

He didn't attend any combines for verified testing numbers this spring.

He was a Class 2A All-State Honorable Mention selection following the 2013 season. He's also a very talented basketball player as well.

He camped at Miami before his sophomore season and they're recruiting him. Davis says LSU and Alabama were the two schools that first started recruiting him.

He transferred to Fork Union a couple months back and has earned offers from schools like Miami, Virginia Tech, and Maryland after they watched him practice recently. Being just a rising junior, he'll likely start getting recruited nationally real soon. Miami's offer actually came quite early so it was good that they were able to get in and see him.

Miami will try getting him on campus this summer, which will help raise his interest in the Canes. Until then, it's hard to tell how much interest he really has in becoming a Cane down the road.
