Canes offer 6-foot-3 PA WR

The Hurricanes are searching the entire country for big receivers in the 2015 class and one of their latest offers went to a big kid from the Pittsburgh area. Read on to learn more about him and what Miami's chances are.

Patrick Anderson from Aliquippa High in PA says the Hurricanes offered him last week.

He stands 6-foot-3, 190 pounds so he's another big receiver that Coach Golden and Coach Coley seem to really prefer.

He finished his junior season with 20 catches for 361 yards and eight touchdowns while playing on a team that has gone to the state championship game two years in a row. He comes from one of the elite prep programs in the state of PA.

West Virginia, Cincinnati, Purdue, and Rutgers are some of his early BCS offers. Interestingly, he's been to Pittsburgh already for a visit this year and the hometown Panthers still haven't offered him. He's being recruited like a three-star prospect.

Miami's offer came last week, as they continue searching the country (especially the Northeast) for big receivers. He doesn't know much about Miami yet so getting him down for a visit this summer will be key. The competition for him isn't terribly daunting right now so the offer seems to have come at a good time.
