Canes offer Tallahassee DB

The Hurricanes have been active all over the state this year and one of their recent offers went to a standout DB in Tallahassee. He has ties to Miami, however. Read on to learn more about him as a prospect and what Miami's chances are early on.

DB Korey Charles from North Florida Christian High in Tallahassee says the Canes offered him last week. He's a 2016 prospect.

He stands 5-foot-11 and 175 pounds. Here were his Nike numbers from the spring:
40: 4.56
Shuttle: 4.22
Vertical: 32

Charles plays all over the field at NFC. "He is an athlete is what he really is. Korey played free safety, corner, wide receiver, running back and returned both punts and kicks for us this season," his coach told Scout.

North Carolina was his first BCS offer back in December. He then added offers from schools like Ole Miss, Maryland, Louisville, LSU, South Florida, and now Miami. He's already being recruited like a 4-star prospect and it's still early for him.

Charles actually lived in Miami for eight years before moving to Tallahassee, so he's very familiar with the Canes and the program. He's not going to be your typical tough pull from Tallahassee because of his ties to the area. Miami is on him early, and he's definitely a quality player in the 2016 Class to watch closely.
