Canes offer in-state QB prospect

The Hurricanes just offered one of the top quarterback prospects from inside the state of Florida. Read on to learn more about him and what Miami's chances are.

Jack Allison from Palmetto High says the Hurricanes offered him last week. He's a 2016 prospect.

6-foot-5 and 190 pounds

He's purely a pocket passer with good accuracy and a live arm.

He threw for just over 2,000 yards and 20 touchdowns, compared to just nine interceptions, as a sophomore last season.

USF was his first offer back in April. UCF soon followed, and then Tennessee, and now most recently Miami. He's being recruited like a 3-star prospect right now but it's early and there's a good chance he'll land a lot more offers in the coming months.

He said a few weeks ago that he plans on making summer visits to both Miami and Tennessee so that will give the Canes a chance to really make a jump up his list. He told Scout recently that he didn't have a favorite team growing up.
