Therrell Gosier has picked up several big offers lately, including Alabama, Clemson, West Virginia, Kentucky, Nebraska, Syracuse, and South Florida. He almost committed a few weeks ago (choosing either Alabama, WVU, or Kentucky), but he decided to wait after a conversation with his Pompano Beach (Fla.) Blanch Ely head coach.
"He said I should just wait it out and evaluate all of my options, that more schools could come in to the picture, so wait until I take my official visits and see from there," Gosier said.
"Nobody will probably know until like Signing Day."
Three schools sit at the top right now for the 6-foot-6, 200-pound receiver: Clemson, West Virginia, and Kentucky. Clemson is the latest to offer Gosier and he's already got a great feeling about it.
"I talked to my good friend (Clemson signee) Richard Yeargin, he told me Clemson is great, the coaches are loyal, he just filled me in on the coaching staff, how loyal they are and everything. When they came to me, they kept it real with me, so right now they're in my top three," Gosier said.
West Virginia is another program that has the big receiver's attention.
"West Virginia shows me a lot of love, with (running backs) coach (JaJuan) Seider. That's the main reason (I like them), because they show a lot of love," he said.
Kentucky rounds out Gosier's top three.
"Out of all the big schools, Kentucky was the first one to really show me love and see what kind of potential I have and everything, so that's why they're in my top three," he said.
The South Florida standout plans to visit some schools this summer with his dad, but they haven't made their plans yet. He'll be keeping in mind a few factors when he evaluates his choices, namely the opportunity to make an early impact.
"(I'll be looking at) the depth chart, see how many receivers they're recruiting. I'm trying to play right away, so I'm trying to weigh out those options too," he said.
