UM 4-star gets re-classified

The Hurricanes landed an early commitment from one of the nation's top prospects in the 2016 class. Today, his head coach confirmed that he will now be a part of Miami's 2015 class. Read on for more info.

Mark Walton is an elite running back prospect from Booker T. Washington High in Miami. He committed to Miami a few months ago as part of the 2016 class.

Booker T coach Tim Harris confirmed Wednesday night that Walton is now officially a member of the 2015 class. That means he will be ready to enroll and play at Miami for the 2015 season.

Walton, who ran for 832 yards and 14 touchdowns on 99 carries last season, is considered one of the nation's top running back prospects.

Miami now has three elite running back prospects committed for the 2015 class -- Jordan Cronkrite and Dexter Williams are the others. That group likely gives Miami the nation's best class at that position right now.

Walton told Scout recently that, despite his commitment to Miami, he plans to take official visits later this year to schools like Florida State, Georgia, and Auburn.
