Davis wants to stay home

Von Davis has an offer list in the double-digits, but he's really hoping for some schools in his home state of Florida to offer him. The 2015 cornerback of Mount Dora (Fla.) is still open to others, though.

Wisconsin, Indiana, Mississippi State, Louisville, Kentucky, Arizona, Cincinnati, and others have offered Von Davis. A few stand out to the 2015 corner right now, including Wisconsin.

"I don't really know much about it. I know it's cold up there. I just know they're a powerhouse. If I go up there and visit and I like it, it's where I might end up," he said.

Louisville is another school that has his attention, though he admits he has some research to do about the program. Mississippi State offered a bit later in the process, so he feels like the Bulldogs might be a bit behind too. Indiana is another program that's really in Davis' mind.

Indiana, they're big on me. A coach came to my spring game. He wants me to come up there and visit, so I have to find some time when I can go up there and visit. They're on me pretty good, I'm focused on them a lot," he said.

The 6-foot, 180-pound athlete is still looking for more offers. He'll be at Florida State this week, then plans to camp at South Carolina and Tennessee shortly after. It's the Florida Schools, like FSU, Florida, Miami, South Florida and especially UCF, that he'd really like to hear from.

"Mostly all my schools are out of state, I'm looking for an in-state school right now because I don't really want to leave home," Davis said.

Davis continues to take things one day at a time and Scout.com will have the latest for you on all of it.
