"I'm verbally committed to the U," Ahmmon Richards announced today.
At 6-foot-2 and 175 pounds, this four-star prospect from Wellington High in Palm Beach County put his name on the recruiting map with a strong sophomore season.
He finished the 2013 season with 29 catches for 468 yards and three touchdowns. He also plays safety and picked off four passes.
Richards landed his first offer from West Virginia back in January before Miami and several others jumped into the mix in the spring. Some of his other offers included Georgia, Ohio State, and Tennessee.
"I have been to Miami and I like it there," he said. "I have been to a few games as a recruit and it was nice. I liked the atmosphere and I like what they have done as a team in the past. Miami is a really good school."
Richards, rated four stars by Scout, becomes Miami's 7th commitment in the 2016 class. He's now one of four heavily recruited wide receivers in that group.
