Heaps talks about his progress

Jake Heaps had a solid performance in yesterday's scrimmage. Read on to see what he's saying about that, his progress this month, the quarterback competition, and more.

On the scrimmage:
There are some negatives to every scrimmage as a team. Coming out here today, I think it was awesome in a game-like situation, execute, and then go back to the film room and seeing what you need to improve on.

On his performance:
I feel like I did a good job of running the operation and completing passes. The biggest thing is getting better and feeling better with the overall operation. After yesterday and today’s practice, I feel good with where I’m at and the progress I’ve made.

On where he’s at with his progress:
These next few days will be a big push. This is our last chance to get better in our own technique before we focus on Louisville.

On the QB competition being down to two:
I’m not worried on that and focusing on me and getting better every rep. Whatever Coach ends up deciding is out of my hands. It’s my job to go out and execute the best I can.
