Perryman is back in black

Denzel Perryman was back wearing a black jersey on Thursday. Read on to see what he's saying about that, why the coaches questioned him on his scrimmage performance, his thoughts on the other linebackers, and more.

On having a black jersey today:
I was in a black jersey. It was from the scrimmage. It feels good. I came out to practice and got my black jersey back.

On not having one after the scrimmage:
I made a couple mistakes in our second scrimmage. Coach D asked me if I was focused. I was, just was being over-aggressive.

On the other starters:
Thurston can play all three positions. Kirby can play mike and will and they both came a long way. They’re progressing well.

On David Njoku:
When David first came over, he got with Thurston a lot. When I was out, I was making sure I was coaching him up. Thurston was the same way.

On quick scores by the offense:
You just have to hydrate. We can’t turn down points. Score all you want. We’ll be ready.

On Nantambu Fentress:
He just sees the ball and gets to it. He goes 100 miles per hour, no matter what. He’s a great player and is making plays for us.
