I Goes For Perfection

I-Perfection Harris. Said exactly how it looks. The talented standout from Brooklyn, N.Y. has a rare name, which goes well with his rare football skills. Harris is being recruited by programs all over the country, including Miami. He talks about the Canes in this interview.

Earlier this month I posted a story/interview with defensive tackle Kwakou Robinson. Well, the Brooklyn (Poly Prep) standout isn't the only kid on that team who is being recruited by Miami. Meet wide receiver I-Perfection Harris. "That's my real name," Harris said. "I hyphen Perfection."

Harris went to the Ohio State camp earlier this summer where he was one of the best athletes at the camp. He measured in at 5-foot-10 and 160 pounds, and ripped off a blazing 4.35 in front of the Buckeye coaches. It was one of the three fastest times recorded at that camp.

Your current core GPA: 3.3

Your current test score: We haven't gotten them back yet.

Which schools called you in May: I got calls from Penn State, Ohio State, Wisconsin, Boston College, Miami, Georgia Tech, Iowa, and Indiana.

Which schools have sent you a scholarship offer in the mail: Boston College, Duke, and Rutgers have so far.

If signing day were tomorrow, what's it looking like: I like Stanford and Georgia Tech the most right now. But I alo would like to visit Penn State, Ohio State, and Miami.

What's Miami talking about: Randy Shannon is recruiting me. I really respect their program and they have a great tradition with wide receivers (editor's note: Harris says Miami is recruiting him as a wide receiver).

As of now, it appears Miami will sign three or four wide receivers in this class. And for now, Akieem Jolla is the only out of state receiver who has been offered by Miami. But like a few others, Harris is one being watched, so stay tuned.
