Scott out for Louisville

Senior wide receiver Rashawn Scott, who missed a good part of last season due to injury, will not travel to Louisville because of another injury.

The school released the official injury report for Monday's game against Louisville and the only player listed on it is senior wide receiver Rashawn Scott. The report simply lists the injury as being an "upper extremity" injury.

Scott, 6-foot-2 and 205 pounds, had a solid sophomore season in 2012 when he caught 35 passes for 512 yards and three scores.

His junior season was limited to just four games because of an injury. He caught just three passes for 38 yards.

Scott was competing for one of the starting jobs at wide receiver and is expected to play a key role in Miami's offense this season.

Many people believe that he has a good chance of becoming Miami's third leading receiver this season behind Stacy Coley and Phillip Dorsett.

It's unclear how long he's expected to be out but he definitely won't be playing in the opener on Monday.
