On the game:
We didn’t execute as a whole. We have to get better.
On how he can improve:
There are always things to get better at. I did some good things and bad things.
On getting the start:
Its something I dreamed about since I was five. It felt really awesome to be out there.
On where they go from here:
Just go back and watch film and see where I can get better.
On beating out the others for the job:
All the other quarterbacks are great so its good the coaches felt confident in me being the guy. I always planned to be the starting quarterback. It was my goal.
On Louisville’s defense:
They played hard, physical. They played as hard as possible.
On the low pass to Stacy Coley that led to a turnover:
I saw them guys running guys on the field. It was a hitch pass, a little low. I just wanted to get the ball out. It was only one cornerback standing there.
On the touchdown pass to Clive Walford:
It felt good to get the first one out of the way. I wish we could have scored more.
On Duke’s limited success running it:
After awhile, they keyed on Duke a little. He’s such a good athlete that a lot of guys will try doing that.
On Louisville’s game plan:
It was hard. They game-planned well. We came in with our gameplan and it was what we expected.
