Perryman: We missed opportunities

Read on to see what linebacker Denzel Perryman is saying a few days after the team's season opening loss to Louisville.

On moving on from Louisville:
I got over it the next day. We have a game coming up Saturday. We watched film. To me, it was easy. We have to move on to the next game.

On the defensive performance:
We had opportunities where we could have gotten the ball. In 12 possessions we had six three-and-outs.

On leaving the game late:
I caught a cramp. I’m not sure how but I was drinking a lot of water so I blame it on that.

On Florida A&M being non-Div 1:
I don’t worry about that. They could be a Junior College school. I’ll prepare the same way.

On the first home game:
It’s my last go. This will be my last first home game.

On Brad Kaaya’s performance:
I talked to him after the game. I told him he did a good job. The stage wasn’t too big for him.

On how he thought the defense played:
We had a few takeaways but we still had errors. Overall I thought we played OK.

On what the coaches said after the game:
After the game Coach Golden talked to us. He just told us don’t dwell on the loss. Come in the next day and watch film and be ready to move on.
