Linder talks about first start experience

Nick Linder made his first career start on Saturday against Georgia Tech and played every snap. Read on to see everything he is saying about the experience.

On how prepared he was:
It’s new but it’s nothing. I just have to be ready. Coach prepares us and I just have to go play football.

On his nerves going into the game:
It was a great time. My nerves were gone but after the first few plays I was good. We gelled really well as an O-Line.

On how he graded out:
I graded out pretty well but there are some things I still have to work on.

On his first start being in that atmosphere:
It was extremely exciting. 50,000 fans. The white out. I settled down after a few plays and I told the older guys that this is a lot of fun. I told them that after the first series. It was surreal to march down the field on the first series.

On his stamina at the end of the game:
I was fine. We practice a lot. Our conditioning is fine.

On whether he was expecting to start this soon:
Not really but I was preparing for the opportunity and it came. I was there and ready.

On his relationship with Brad Kaaya:
It’s huge. We talk a lot. He gives me pointers here and there.

On the adjustment from HS to college:
The speed of the game is a lot different. One second in high school he’s coming at you. Now he’s already there.
