Canes lose two players for the season

It was a tough week for the Hurricanes in terms of injuries as two more players are now officially out for the rest of the season. Read on for the full report.

Taylor Gadbois was injured in the fourth quarter against Duke a few weeks ago. He's missed the last two games and coaches were hoping that he'd be able to return for this week's game against Virginia Tech.

It's not going to happen, unfortunately, as the school announced today that the sophomore right tackle is done for the season. Senior Jonathan Feliciano has started the last two games in his place while freshman Nick Linder has been the starter at left guard. That's expected to be the case again Thursday night.

Gadbois isn't the only player who is now officially done for the season. Junior kicker Matt Goudis was trying to return to action after missing the first seven games of the season. The school confirmed that Goudis will not return at all this season. Michael Badgley will continue handling field goals for the team.

Walkon fullback Ronnie Regula is also out for the season, along with safety Rayshawn Jenkins.

Senior wide receiver Rashawn Scott is out again this week and won't travel with the team tomorrow. Head coach Al Golden said earlier this week that they plan to redshirt him to have him return to the team next season.

Freshman tackle K.C. McDermott is still not back and will not travel with the team tomorrow. There is still hope that he'll return to action later this season.
