Hand's One of Top OL in Florida

At 6-5 and 295, Hand is one of the state's top offensive line prospects.

After an impressive junior season, Randy Hand was at the NIKE Camp where I liked him a lot. He was huge and showed a lot of athletic ability. Despite his short arms, he was clearly the top OL prospect at that camp.

He then had a very strong spring jamboree where he was very impressive at getting to linebackers. And to cap off the summer, Hand put on quite a performance at Down & Dirty Linemen Camp, where he really got the attention of UM offensive line coach Art Kehoe. At the NIKE Camp, Hand was 6-5 and 295 and ran a 5.25 in the 40 on grass.

Your current core GPA: 2.85

Your current test score: I got a 1080 on the SAT's.

Which schools have sent you scholarship offers in the mail: (Hand was reading them from a list he has) Virginia, Clemson, South Carolina, Vanderbilt, Wisconsin, Michigan State, Auburn, Nebraska, and USC. I also got some verball from teams like Florida State and Florida.

What's Miami talking about: Coach Kehoe saw me at Down & Dirty and said he was very impressed. I haven't talked to him since, but my dad has and he said they (Miami) were definitely going to be recruiting me this season.

If signing day were tomorrow, what's it looking like: Right now, my top five is Michigan, Virginia, Georgia, Clemson, and Florida.

Where's Miami on your list: They're probably next. I like them pretty good, but they're not quite in my top five yet. I want to see how hard they recruit me this season.

Personally, I think Hand is the 3rd or 4th best offensive line prospect in the state (depending upon whether you list Lonnie Davis as a Tight End or Offensive Lineman). He's definitely one to keep your eyes on.
