Canes land LB commitment

The Hurricanes have one of the nation's best 2016 classes right now and they landed another big one Monday night. Read on for the details.

Zach McCloud put his name on the recruiting map as a junior at Santaluces High this season. At 6-foot-3 and 215 pounds, McCloud played on a team that won just two games all season but he was impressive enough to land scholarship offers from schools like Miami and Georgia.

McCloud committed to Monday night, he confirmed on his Twitter account.

Considered a four-star prospect already on Scout, McCloud becomes Miami's 8th commitment in the Class of 2016. Michael Pinckney and Shaquille Quarterman are the two other linebackers in that class for the Hurricanes.
