According to Kyle Tucker of the Kentucky Courier-Journal, Miami offensive coordinator James Coley is no longer a candidate to become offensive coordinator at the University of Kentucky.
"Cross one name off the list of potential candidates for the University of Kentucky football program's offensive coordinator opening," Tucker reported this afternoon. "It is "not the right fit at UK," according to a source of Tucker.
Tucker went on to talk about how former UK offensive coordinator Neal Brown recruited the current roster for an "Air Raid" passing attack and notes how Coley's teams have run the ball 100 times more than it threw it over the last two seasons.
A handful of sources close to the situation believe this is still a possibility. Miami coach Al Golden said this morning that he was not aware of any discussions between Coley and Stoops.
