Canes make new offer to OL

The Hurricanes already have four offensive line commitments in the Class of 2015 but they're definitely trying to add more. Read on to learn all about the player who just landed an offer from the Miami coaches yesterday.

The Hurricanes are set to host Junior College offensive lineman Jahair Jones on an official visit this weekend. That indicates they plan on signing at least one player at that position from the Juco ranks.

We've now confirmed another target -- Malik Cuellar.

At 6-foot-5 and 295 pounds, Cuellar is a 2011 graduate of Fortuna High in California. He played both ways for them before leaving for Junior College.

After taking some time off the football field, Cuellar returned to action at San Francisco City College starting in the 2013 season. He recently finished his sophomore season there.

Mississippi State, Utah State, and Marshall were some of his early offers before two schools that he has taken official visits to came along -- Missouri and Arizona State.

He told Scout's Brian Dohn that Miami offered him a scholarship on Thursday.

Cuellar does not have any other visits lined up right now and it appears as though ASU and Missouri are the main competition heading into the month of December.

If the Canes can land Jones after the visit this weekend, they're likely done at the Juco level. If not, look for them to really turn up the heat on Cuellar.
