On Denzel Perryman:
He means a lot to the defense. You cant really replace him. We have guys to come in and fill the void. Guys like that, it comes natural to him and he’s a very humble guy. No matter how many accolades you have, you can always be humble and be laughing. That’s what we learned from him. He was always the same guy, very down to earth.
On going out with a win:
I’m trying to get the message across – just win. For the guys going out, we have a chance to make it happen for them. I don’t want them to go out with a loss. They already went out with a loss in the last home game. We have to practice hard and not make mistakes.
On Ladarius Gunter:
On That’s my boy. We will miss him. It’s not going to be the same. He’s like a big brother. He keeps us together. Being an older guy, we look up to him. He’s also the most mature guy. We always listen to him. Dallas, too, but he’s coming back.
On South Carolina’s team:
We are facing a good opponent with good players. At the end of the day it’s trusting the scheme, executing the calls the coaches put in. We have to take our training to the game and give good effort. That’s all we can do. I will leave it all on the field like I always do.
