* The Hurricanes lost a commitment from quarterback Dwayne Lawson recently. They're now searching for a replacement. While no new offers have been made, there are some players who have been contacted and are being evaluated. Here is more information on three of them.

--Seth Collins from Cali

6-4/175

His team went 9-4 and into the state playoffs

He finished with 1,013, 12 TDs and 5 INTs.

He also ran for 998 and 17 scores so he's a legit dual threat QB

He's a mid year guy currently committed to San Jose State. Colorado State (under their coach who's now at Florida) and Utah State were his other offers.

Miami's checking him out.

--Evan Shirreffs from Jefferson HS in Georgia

6-6/200

He led his team to a 10-3 season and into the 3rd round of the state playoffs.

He threw for 2,693 yards and 22 touchdowns this season.

He has no FBS offers right now.

--Riley Neal from Indiana.

6-4/205 from Indiana

He's committed to Ball State right now. They were his only FBS offer.

Miami's been in touch with him and if they offer, he'll likely be in this class.
