Young Likes Miami

At 6-foot-4 1/2 and 195, Young is one of the top quarterback prospects in the entire country.

Vincent Young had a busy summer. The Houston (Madison) standout went to camps at Elite 11, LSU, and the Steve McNair camp. He checked in at 6-4 1/2 and 194 at the LSU camp and ripped off an impressive 4.46/40 on turf.

"We were supposed to go to the Miami camp, but something came up and we weren't able to get up there," he said.

As a junior, Young was outstanding. He was a first team all-state pick and totaled over 3,000 yards in total offense.

Your current core GPA: 2.9

Your current test score: I didn't pass it the first time. I got a 780, so I am trying to bring that up.

Which schools have sent you scholarship offers in the mail: I have about 45 of them right now.

Who are some of the top schools that called you on the phone: Nebraska, FSU, Florida, Miami, Texas, A&M, Tennessee, Kansas State, and Colorado.

Has Miami offered you in writing: They talked about it, but they haven't sent it on paper.

If signing day were tomorrow, what's it looking like: I'm primarily looking at three schools right now - Miami, LSU, and Texas.

What about official visits: I'll definitely visit those three, and I'm not sure about the other two yet.

Talk more about Miami: I like them a lot. They're one of my favorites. I like their offense and think I could fit in well there.

Which coach is recruiting you: Chudzinski

Personally, I find it interesting that Chud is recruiting Young because Coach Werner seems to be recruiting all the QB prospects this year. In addition, he has not been offered by Miami as I've seen saying for awhile. I think if we offer, we're definitely the front-runners, but it just seems that the focus appears to be on other QB prospects. Stay tuned.
