Torrance Gibson -- A 4-star QB prospect from American Heritage High, Gibson (6-4/200) is a big time prospect. He committed to Ohio State several months ago but has taken recent visits to Auburn and LSU. Al Golden met with him yesterday while Urban Meyer and Les Miles saw him this morning before he left for his Miami visit. The Canes are on the outside looking in but this will be a very important 48 hours to change his mind.
Terrell Chatman -- A 3-star WR prospect from Louisiana, Chatman committed to Miami over the summer. He took January visits to Arizona State, TCU, and Georgia and will now see Miami this weekend. It appears as though TCU and UGA are the top competition here and Miami will now have 48 hours to keep him committed.
Brendan Loftus -- A 3-star OT prospect from Godby HS in Tallahassee, Loftus (6-7/270) committed to the Canes back in the spring and never wavered. He never took any other visits and is fully expected to sign with the Canes on Wednesday.
Simi Moala -- A 3-star DE prospect from California, Moala (6-6/255) was first offered by Miami several months back. He never strongly considered the Canes, however, and named Utah and Oregon State his top two earlier this week. Miami is playing catch up going into the weekend but will have 48 hours to convince him to join this class.
Sheldrick Redwine -- A 3-star cornerback prospect from Miami Killian, Redwine was just offered by Miami today. At 6-foot-1 and 185 pounds, he has ideal size for a cornerback prospect. He's been committed to Louisville for awhile but added this late visit to Miami. The Canes will have a good chance of flipping him away from the Cardinals this weekend.
Those five players will do the regular Friday-Sunday visit. Another local QB prospect, Lamar Jackson, was on campus for a visit on Thursday. The 3-star from Boynton Beach High was offered by Miami recently. He's currently committed to Louisville but has taken visits to Mississippi State and Miami. He's on Florida's campus for a visit this weekend. He remains committed to the Cardinals but could flip to Miami or one of the other schools in the next few days.
