Bush talks scrimmage, secondary, & more

Read on to see what senior safety Deon Bush is saying after the team's first spring scrimmage.

On the scrimmage:
A lot of guys are getting better out there. Guys were making plays.

On being sick earlier this week:
I had gotten a little sick. It was a sinus infection but I’m OK now.

On reps at corner:
I played a good deal of corner so I’m just working on worst case scenario. I’ve been working on it.

On the rotation at safety:
It’s been a mix. Everyone has been kind of rotating.

On which guys have stood out:
All the guys have talent. I don’t think it really makes a difference. We’re all talented.

On the difference from last spring:
Leadership. We have a lot of leaders on the team, a lot of guys are stepping up. The pass rush has been real good. Quan is doing a great job right now. Tyriq, those guys are all doing good rushing the passer.

On the slot corner spot:
I’m not really sure. They have a lot of guys working on it right now. I can’t tell who is the best fit for it. Corn’s been there. Dallas had reps. I had reps. We’re all working there.

On the first scrimmage:
I saw a lot of guys playing physical, a lot of hard tackles. It was the first scrimmage and there’s still a lot of stuff to work on.

On having Quan Muhammad back:
It’s nice. Quan is a real good pass rusher. We missed him last year. He’s a force. It’s always good to have a player of his caliber back.
