McDermott back at practice

Read on to see what offensive lineman Kc McDermott is saying about his return to the practice field.

On returning to practice:
I’m pumped. I wanted to come out and have a good day. It was decent. It was something to build off. It was really hot but I thought my conditioning wasn’t as good as it’s been.

On the overall team:
I feel like we have a good team. There are things we still have to pick up. Once we figure out the little things, we’ll be a great team.

On the O-Line:
We look good. We’ve been competing together, going through battles as a unit. If we have a bad day, it’s on everyone. On good days we’re all doing good. I don’t think we’ll have chemistry problems on the line this year.

On which tackle spot he's playing:
I’ll be rotating between right and left. My goal is to play wherever the coaches tell me to play.

On his goals:
First is to be a starter. I want to try being a starter by the spring game. That’s my goal as of right now. Bring this team together, win the coastal, and win a national championship. I’m not accepting anything less.

On his goals to become a starter:
Getting more reps with the ones and showing the coaches what I can do. Just keep fighting for everything I do, making sure I get my job done. I have to hold my teammates to a high standard.
