Kirby gives his take on scrimmage

Read on to see what senior linebacker Raphael Kirby was saying following the team's second spring scrimmage on Saturday.

On today’s performance:
We did a good job. We started fast. There was great energy and competition. We finished well.

On the first scrimmage to now:
There was a drastic change. We feel more comfortable. Guys are doing their jobs. Accountability has really picked up. Guys are staying in their gaps. It’s going to make us great.

On how he thought he played:
I did a pretty good job today. I was trusting my keys and got some work in.

On Joe Yearby’s long touchdown:
I blitzed on that play and by the time I turned around he was almost in the endzone. We’ll look at it on film and go from there.

On defensive standouts today:
Corn Elder did a good job today. Artie Burns, Jermaine Grace, the guys up front, Earl Moore flashed good plays today. The defense as a whole did a good job today.

On which side won the scrimmage:
Oh we won. The ones did. If you had a three-and-out, you get a certain amount of points. Plus with interceptions and stuff. You basically get points for getting off the field.
