Kaaya recaps Saturday's scrimmage

Read on to see what sophomore quarterback Brad Kaaya was saying following Saturday's scrimmage.

On his health:
I was fine. I rested the whole week and woke up today well rested. I was most sick on Tuesday morning when I woke up. I felt horrible. I just missed Thursday’s practice. It’s been going around the whole school. People cam back from spring break from all over. There are all kinds of different bugs.

On his conditioning:
It wasn’t too bad. I started getting a little tired at the end. It happens a lot. It’s football. You just have to play through it.

On the offensive performance:
It was a little sloppy today. I made a few good throws. We had too many penalties. We had some offsides, a few holdings. The first team offense had a 30 yard run and then it got called back. Almost every drive we went from 3rd and one to third and long.

On Malik Rosier’s play:
He made some good plays. He handled the situation well. He led the offense well. He hit Malcolm on a bubble and he scored. He did good.

On any touchdowns with the first unit:
I hit Joe with the only touchdown on third down. He took it up the sideline and scored from about 60 yards out.

On the defensive performance:
The defense was all over the ball today. They were all over the field today. They were sound throughout the whole day. I can’t really point out one player. They were making sound plays.

On sacks today:
They had a couple, spread out between the ones and twos. It just seems like they’re more aggressive. They’re more active.

On Braxton Berrios getting dinged up:
He’ll be OK. He’s a tough dude.
