Owens talks about scrimmage

Read on to see what sophomore linebacker Darrion Owens was saying following Saturday's scrimmage.

On the defense performing better this scrimmage:
That’s one of the things we wanted to do. We want to be a dominant and a very physical defense.

On how he thought they performed:
We all played hard and played together. We communicated really good. We were having problems with that and we got it fixed.

On which side won the scrimmage:
I’m not sure who won. I hope we won but I don’t know.

On how they improved:
We improved in this scrimmage from the last one but there’s still a lot of ways we can improve to become a better team.

On Malik Rosier’s play:
Malik is doing good. He’s a change up from Brad. Brad is a pure pocket passer. Malik can run it. He got me once. I forgot he’s so fast. He’s a nice guy and getting a lot better.

On Joe Yearby’s long touchdown catch and run:
I had him on that play. It was something, he’s kinda fast and just got outside me. It’s something I have to fix.
