Golden recaps spring game

Read on to see what head coach Al Golden was saying following the team's spring game.

On the spring game:
I think there is a lot we will learn. We learned a lot about our team. I’ll look at the big picture. Im grateful we got out if fairly healthy.

On Malik Rosier:
Malik had a good spring. He made a lot of progress.

On the defensive performance:
It was physical. We broke on it well and we made some plays. When one side does things well, the other side needs work.

On the interceptions by Brad Kaaya
No one wants picks. He will learn from it at the end of the day. Once we get into training camp we’ll settle into the unit that will be out here every day with him.

On the injured players:
There are a number of guys we’ll get back here in the next couple months. I’m excited. I’m happy we were able to stay healthy.

On competition battles:
There are some guys who felt comfortable and other guys who still need to be evaluated. Guys learned a lot about themselves this spring.

On Charles Perry’s spring:
Charles will learn a lot from this. It’s a lot for him to digest. He’s doing a good job and just has to keep pushing.

On K.C. McDermott:
He’s doing really well. He’s getting onto his conditioning now and that’s usually the last thing so he’s doing well.

On the running back spot:
Gus and Joe are fighting and Trayone has to keep battling. Walter will play for us, and Mark Walton’s coming in. Those guys will compete and fight it out.

On the receivers:
Malcolm’s had a good camp. I just look at whether they progress and get better. Brax did. Rashawn had a good spring. Herb finished spring on a few good practices. They have a few months to get where they need to be.
