Canes offer elite LB prospect

This linebacker prospect is young but he’s already being recruited nationally. The Canes became his 10th offer today. Read on to learn about him as a prospect.

“Blessed to receive my 10th scholarship offer from the University Of Miami,” Teradja Mitchell announced this afternoon

Mitchell is a 2018 linebacker prospect at Bayside High in Virginia Beach, which is considered one of the premier high school programs in the state of Virginia.

At 6-foot-2 and 225 pounds, Mitchell attended a Nike event earlier this year and jumped 29 inches on the vert and threw the power toss 37 feet. That’s an impressive combination of explosiveness and strength for a freshman linebacker.

Clemson, South Carolina, Virginia, and Florida State are some of the other schools who have given Mitchell an early offer so he’s already being recruited nationally. He is fully expected to become one of the top linebacker prospects in his class all across the country.

He’s already taken unofficial visits to Florida State and South Carolina so those are two schools to keep an eye on early in the process. Miami will likely try getting him down on a visit this summer and that’s when we’ll learn how UM stacks up against the other schools he’s already visited.
