Canes trying to add a 3rd back to this class

Miami already has two running back commitments in the 2016 class and they're trying to add another one. They offered another south Florida running back prospect over the weekend. Read on to learn about him as a prospect and to see what Miami's chances are.

"Received a offer from The University of Miami," Devin Singletary announced over the weekend.

Singletary is a junior running back prospect at American Heritage in Delray Beach. He is fresh off a solid junior season in which he finished with 765 yards rushing and eight touchdowns. He also caught two passes for 48 yards.

Nike numbers from the spring:
5-foot-8 and 191 pounds
4.76/40
4.50/shuttle
31-inch vertical jump
36-foot power toss

Singletary's earlier offers came from schools like Florida State, North Carolina, South Florida, and Colorado State. He's being recruited like one of the top 10-15 running back prospects in the state of Florida for the 2016 class.

The talented junior camped at Miami last summer and has indicated before that he followed the Canes growing up so Miami should be in good position here if they continue going hard after him.

The Canes already have two running back commitments in 4-star Amir Rasul and 3-star Zack Moss. They're clearly looking to add another one, either as a third back in this class or as a potential backup plan in case one of those two players end up flipping their commitments to other schools. Either way, Singletary is a player we will be watching closely in the coming months.
