Top OL flips his commitment from UM to UF

A very talented player who had been committed to Miami for several months flipped his commitment to Florida today. Read on to learn about it.

"I am extremely happy to announce that I will be committing to The University Of Florida," Kadeem Telfort announced today.

Telfort de-committed from Miami a few minutes earlier.

"I've talked it over with my parents and we came to a decision that I will decommit from The University Of Miami," he said.

At 6-foot-5 and 320 pounds, Telfort is a 2017 offensive tackle prospect from Miami Norland High. He originally committed to the Hurricanes back in mid-February when he landed an offer following an unofficial visit to the school. He gave his pledge to the Miami coaches less than 24 hours after being offered.

Telfort later landed scholarship offers from Florida, Louisville, NC State, and South Florida. Despite making the early commitment to Miami, he continued visiting other schools this summer. Florida and Auburn were two of his stops in recent weeks.

The Canes now have seven commitments in the 2017 class, and none of them are offensive linemen. They're also seeking their first O-Line commitment in the 2016 class.
