Carter: Safeties are much better in 2015

Read on to see why Jamal Carter believes the safety group will be much better in 2015.

On how he’s doing:
I’m just coming out and trying to compete and be the best I can be every day.

On why he’s improved:
I feel more comfortable with my teammates. All of us push each other. They’ll all push each other. We hold each other to high standards.

On whether depth at safety is better:
Yes. There’s competition every day. We’re all making each other better.

On Rayshawn Jenkins coming back:
Jenkins is looking good. He caught an interception today on goal line period.

On the upcoming scrimmage:
It’s game week, that’s how we’re treating it. Everyone is very focused and trying to have a good scrimmage.

On Jaquan Johnson:
Jaquan has been great. I told him he’ll be the next Ed Reed. His instincts, the way he breaks on the ball, everything. He’ll definitely be (in the rotation).

On if the intensity goes up this week:
It’s intense every week. I understand the focus level has to go up. It’s the same though because it’s been very intense the whole camp.
