Yearby talks about his new role

Read on to see what sophomore running back Joe Yearby is saying a few days before the team's season opener.

On having dreams of the season:
It’s all good dreams. You know, scoring touchdowns and hearing the fans and things like that.

On Bethune Cookman:
We take every game serious no matter what. You just gotta play every game like it’s your last game.

On losing Gus Edwards:
It was hurtful. That was my big brother. Anything he can say you listen and take advice from. We can still talk to him but I just wont see him on the field.

On getting messages from Edwards:
It means a lot. He’ll shoot me text messages saying I need to do this or that. I always respond back quickly.

On getting goal line work:
Mostly the same amount as Gus. We would take turns. I’m very confident about it.

On what losing the season means for Edwards:
We gotta dedicate the season to him. As a big brother, we just have to look after him.
