Rosier talks about first experience

Read on to see what redshirt freshman quarterback Malik Rosier is saying about his first game action as a Hurricane.

On playing for the first time:
Being in my first game as a Hurricane, it was a dream come true. We were very basic but we performed well. We were smooth. We scored two out of three drives. It was a great feeling to be in there.

On how he felt:
It was a feeling that I knew was going to happen. I was prepared for it. There will never be a feeling like that again.

On the speed of the game:
The speed, our defense is fast, so going against them every day helped us. We just went through our calls and executed.

On the difference from high school:
The biggest difference is how fast the game is. Artie, Rashawn Scott, those guys can run. In high school you have slow kids but in college everyone is skilled.

On if he kept a game program or anything:
No. Nothing like that. It was a special moment. My mom was there. She cried when I first got in and then when I got hit.. I had to tell her that it’s football and that I’m going to get hit.

On preparing for FAU:
We’ve been watching lots of film. Me and Brad live together. We had guys over watching the Ohio State/Virginia Tech game last night and we watched some film together. We will just run our offense and make them stop us.
