Q&A with Kc McDermott

Read on to see what sophomore offensive tackle Kc McDermott is saying a few days before the team takes on FAU.

On his first series last Saturday:
I think my first series was pretty good. I did well and there were no problems.

On how he can improve:
I’m always working on my craft, trying to get better. I’m always trying to be a good teammate and a good leader and always helping my team win the Coastal, which is what we’re trying to do.

They fight hard every day. They show on film they’re a good team and they won’t back down from anyone. We have to be ready for them.

On playing in Palm Beach County:
It means a lot. I will have a ton of friends and family there and it’ll be an exciting experience. A lot of our fans will be there. It’s always cool to play on Friday nights again.

On the freshmen who played:
I was very impressed. They came in from day one and worked their butts off. We set high standards and they just have to keep getting better.

On Joe Brown’s progress:
He’s smart, tough, and works his ass off. There’s not much else. He’s a great kid, a great talent. He knows what to do and will get his job done.

On Brown’s recruiting ranking:
I’m not surprised. I knew from the moment I saw him that he could play. Rankings, people can say what they want but at the end of the day the best guys will play no matter where you were ranked.

On if the offense changes when Malik Rosier is in:
Not really. We just line up on the ball and get in the trenches. It’s just how Coach Coley wants the offense to be run. It doesn’t matter to us, we’ll get it done.
