Walden Talks about Miami

Miami Edison cornerback Terrell Walden might not get as much pub as fellow defensive back prospects Glenn Sharpe or Travarous Bain, but he's right in their league in terms of talent. Arguably the state's fastest player in pads, Walden talks about the recruiting process, the Hurricanes, and provides a list of leaders.

At 5-foot-11 and 155 pounds, Walden is one of the county's top prospects. And with 4.35 speed, he might be the fastest player in Florida. In last Friday's game against North Miami, Walden had two catches for 81 yards, showing off his explosiveness, and he also made nine tackles and two pass breakups on defense. He currently carries a 2.1 GPA and doesn't have a test score back yet. If he gets qualified, I suppose he'll have a rush of new scholarship offers.

Which schools have you heard from this month: A bunch of them. I also miss a bunch of calls. Arkansas, North Carolina, Maryland, UM, Auburn, Rutgers, LSU, N.C. State. There's more, too.

Which schools have offered you scholarships in writing: Michigan State, Auburn, LSU, and Rutgers so far, pretty much the same ones as last time.

If signing day were tomorrow, what's it looking like: Still the same - just give me an opportunity and I'll give you production in return. I just need a chance. I don't care if it's way out at Iowa State, I just want a chance to play ball.

Have you scheduled any visits yet: Nope, not yet.

Talk about Miami: I like them a lot. Of course. I'm just waiting to see whether or not they're going to offer me a scholarship. Me and Nate both like UM a lot.
