Elite Defensive Tackle to Visit UM

The Brooklyn (N.Y.) Poly Prep standout is getting plenty of attention.

At 6-foot-4 and 310, Kwakou Robinson is one of the premier defensive tackle prospects in the entire country. Inside the classroom, Robinson carries a B-minus average (about 2.75 on a 4.0-scale) and will take the SAT in October.

Which schools have called you so far this month: Penn State, Ohio State, Notre Dame, Miami (Randy Shannon), USC, Virginia, and Wisconsin.

Which schools have now offered you a scholarship in writing: All of the ones I just mentioned. They've all offered me.

If signing day were tomorrow, what's it looking like: I'm pretty much down to Penn State, Ohio State, Notre Dame, and Miami.

Have you scheduled any official visits yet: Yes sir. I will be visiting USC on November 17. I'll also probably visit the other three, too.

Have you been to any college games: Yes, I went to the Penn State/Miami game. They (Penn State) got trashed. Miami is a great team, though. Everyone has their bad days. I was rooting for Penn State, but in the back of my mind, I knew Miami would beat them up (laughing).

Talk about Miami: I will probably go on a visit down there. They've looked great so far.

Personally, it sounds a lot to me like Robinson might be leaning towards Penn State. In his entire review of the UM/PSU game, he kept commenting from a Penn State point of view. But getting him in here for a visit would be huge and increase our chances tremendously, but Penn State's clearly the front-runners in my opinion.
