Grace:UM more talented than all its opponents

Read on to see what junior linebacker Jermaine Grace is saying.

On underachieving this season:
I feel like every team we play we have better athletes across the board. It’s all about who executes. That’s what the game is. We always are faster than teams, have more athletes but it’s about coming up with plays.

On what’s left to play for:
We just are still fighting. We can’t win the ACC but we’re still fighting for a good bowl game. Pride, too. We just have to win out.

On preparing for GT:
We just have to have a great eye, and being gap sound and staying disciplined. We have problems sometimes with option quarterbacks so this week we have to buckle down and prepare for Georgia Tech.

On the poor tackling lately:
We do a lot of tackling. We just started up preparing for Georgia Tech’s chops. That’s the kind of practices we’ll have this week. We haven’t been tackling well but we have to get better for the rest of the season.

On the seniors:
We have to win for the seniors. They’ve been through a lot. We have to be there for them, for the coaches, for Artie’s mom. We just have to go out and play hard.

On the future of the coaches:
We always think about our coaches. We’re all going through a lot but we always put that to the side and focus on finishing the season. Whatever happens happens. I know it must be tough not knowing what will happen but the same for us. We try not to think about it too much. If we let that bother us it’ll bring us down.

On what he wants from the new coach:
It doesn’t matter. We just have to get a coach who can coach. I don’t really pay attention to what people are saying on the outside. It’s about us.
