Surprise Visitor: 5 star TE

The Hurricanes have a surprise visitor on campus today. Read on to learn all about it.

Isaac Nauta posted a photo of himself and Mark Richt on Twitter today with the phrase "Go Canes" attached to it.

At 6-foot-4 and 240 pounds, Nauta is a five-star tight end prospect who plays at IMG Academy in Bradenton but his family lives in Buford, Georgia. He's a kid Mark Richt has been recruiting for a long time.

Georgia was one of the first schools to offer Nauta, and they were the first school he took an official visit to back in early October. He later took official trips to Alabama, Michigan, Ole Miss, and Oklahoma State. Because the NCAA only allows players to take five, this trip to Miami is unofficial. That means he had to pay his own way to get here.

Georgia was considered to be the front-runner before Richt was fired from there. A week after Richt was formally introduced as the new Miami coach he's now on Miami's campus. The Canes are definitely in the mix and he'll be getting a handful of in-home visits from coaches next week.
