Canes lose a commitment

The Hurricanes lost a 2017 commitment late this week. Read on to learn about it.

Aundrey Kearney committed to Miami awhile ago and he decided to open things back up on Friday.

"No longer a University Of Miami commit," Kearney announced. "I am now opening my recruitment process."

At 6-feet and 210 pounds, Kearney is an athletic outside linebacker prospect from Mandarin High in Jacksonville. He also has offers from schools like North Carolina, Rutgers, USF, and Cincinnati.

The Hurricanes now have 10 commitments in the 2017 class, including two linebackers. Kearney was one of three Jacksonville-area players committed to Miami joining cornerback Nick Roberts and safety Ahman Ross.
