Canes lose 4-star commitment

A day after one of his teammates committed to Miami, this four-star prospect de-committed from the Canes. Read on for more.

Kemore Gamble committed to the Hurricanes awhile back and announced on Tuesday that is no longer the case.

Here was his statement:

"I want to thank the University of Miami's new coaching staff for their recruitment of me so far. However, I am de-committing from Miami and opening up my recruiting again."

At 6-foot-3 and 210 pounds, Gamble is a 2017 tight end prospect from Southridge High in Miami. Some of his other scholarship offers include Tennessee, West Virginia, Wisconsin, Kentucky, Cincinnati, and North Carolina. He's being recruited like a three-star prospect, and some believe the new UM coaching staff hasn't made him a priority in recent months since taking over. That could be a reason for this news. Either way, don't expect him back in Miami's class.

The Canes signed a few tight ends in the 2016 class and now don't have any tight ends committed in the 2017 class.
