RB Thompson No Longer Committed to Miami

Bentavious Thompson, a 2017 running back prospect who had committed to the Hurricanes back in February, is no longer on Miami's commitment list. Read on for details.

"At this time I will be de-committing after much thought and consideration," Thompson announced Wednesday night. I want to open up my recruitment and weigh my options. I want to thank the coaches for believing in my talents."

At 5-foot-11 and 195 pounds, Thompson is a 3-star prospect from Miami Southridge. He committed to the Canes back in February and attended the Paradise Camp this past weekend. Miami's coaches seemed to be losing interest in him, and they haven't been as active in their recruiting efforts of him lately.

Thompson has close to a dozen other scholarship offers. Florida is now a major player for his services.

Robert Burns remains committed as the lone running back in Miami's 2017 class but expect the Canes to add one more in the coming weeks and months.
