Coach Dugans Talks WR Group

Read on to see everything Ron Dugans was saying following practice Tuesday.

On the young receivers:
As far as the newcomers go, Ahmmon Richards has shown flashes and has stepped up. He has to be consistent and we have to keep him healthy. Sam Bruce is finally coming along. Mullins is here. He has a good skillset for us. Dayall Harris, we’re looking for him to do big thigs. I just have to get consistent play from these guys.

On when they will name the third starter will be after Coley and Berrios:
It could be a game time decision. One day a guy comes out and is the guy. The next day it might be someone else. We will keep letting them compete and put the best guys out there.

On who’s in the mix:
You have Dayall, Malcolm Lewis has been really good for us this camp. We want to put guys on the field who know they’re doing everytime they’re on the field.

On if Dionte Mullins arrived too late to compete for PT:
I don’t think so. He’s behind but it’s possible.

On what he likes about Coley and Berrios:
Those guys have been playing like veterans. They do the little things veterans do. Our perimeter blocking has gotten better. If you don’t block you don’t play. We have good backs so we have to do a good job blocking.

On Ahmmon Richards practicing today:
He was OK. He looked a lot better. We’ll just have to see how things go with him.
