Gordinier Done for the Season

CORAL GABLES, Fla. – The University of Miami football team announced today that redshirt freshman linebacker Jamie Gordinier will miss the remainder of the 2016 season after he suffered a knee injury yesterday during the Hurricanes’ season opener against FAMU.

Gordinier's injury is the latest hit to a decimated linebacker group for the Hurricanes. Since Mark Richt's arrival, Jermaine Grace and Juwon Young were thrown off the team. Darrion Owens has been injured and unable to play yet and now Gordinier is done for the season.

The New Jersey product was competing with freshman Michael Pinckney for a starting job heading into the Florida A&M game.
